Creating better cities together.
Friday September 25, 2026 11:45am - 1:00pm CEST
Can an urban space truly offer "belonging" if it fails to meet basic human dignity? For many vulnerable citizens, public life is entirely restricted by a missing piece of micro-infrastructure: adult changing rooms – next step in design accessible toilets.
Join this hands-on, interactive workshop to explore "The Changing Place Living Lab" at Cinema New Horizons in Wrocław. We will break down how a unique alliance—Academia (Wroclaw Tech), NGOs (Fundacja .A), and the cultural sector—transformed a taboo, utilitarian facility into a dynamic hub for radical inclusion.
In this session, you will discover a replicable, data-driven blueprint that bridges the gap between technology and empathy:
  • Smart Inclusion: See how non-invasive IoT sensors gather usage data to optimize urban accessibility standards.
  • Spatial UX: Learn to map hidden architectural barriers in a user’s physical journey.
  • Co-creation: Gain strategies to reach, research, and empower "invisible" users currently excluded from public life.
We will move the conversation from what to build to how to collaborate. Come ready to challenge static checklists, review real pilot results, and learn how to turn functional spaces into anchors of dignity.
