Creating better cities together.
Friday September 25, 2026 2:30pm - 3:45pm CEST
Is there such a thing as "normal" space? And who is it for really? Let's reimagine the city of Wrocław together! We will disturb the often invisible spatial norms that favor certain bodies, identities, and ways of being.
You'll start by diving into your own positionality, exploring intersectionality and what it means for how you experience space. Then, armed with a research-based toolkit built from interviews, fieldwork, and stakeholder engagement in Wrocław, you'll counter-map, draw, write, and discuss your way into producing alternative, plural cartographies of the city.
Expect to play with Action Cards spanning nine categories, from mobility and housing to safety and visibility, alongside Queering Cards holding potential to reimagine spaces and transform them into something more diverse and perhaps daring? Additionally a Catalogue of Enabling Elements guides you through the spatial qualities of the areas in Wrocław. Altogether this tool is designed to trigger imagination.
This session is both critical and playfully experimental. We'll touch on topics like safety, visibility, and belonging in a space built on mutual respect and curiosity, open to all genders, identities, and backgrounds. You'll leave with spatial visions of a more diverse Wrocław.
