Creating better cities together.
Friday September 25, 2026 2:30pm - 3:45pm CEST
This outdoor walkshop invites participants to imagine themselves as musical instruments, responding to the various stimuli they encounter in the urban environment. Through a guided walk around Wrocław, participants will explore how everyday experiences influence their emotions, with their senses serving as inspiration for a metaphorical musical composition that reflects each individual’s personal perception of the city.As participants move through a sequence of contrasting spaces, they are encouraged to pay close attention to what they hear, see, touch, and smell. No musical knowledge is required. Simple creative exercises invite participants to translate sensory experiences and emotional responses into words, symbols, and visual patterns. Musical ideas such as rhythm, harmony, pitch and tone are used as metaphors to help participants reflect on what feels calming, stimulating or overwhelming. The workshop combines creativity, observation and self-expression, helping participants develop a deeper awareness of their relationship with urban spaces. Participants are encouraged to slow down and connect with place through curiosity rather than evaluation. By bringing together individual observations and graphic outputs, participants will collectively create a “Symphony of the Senses” that reveals shared experiences and invites reflection on which qualities of the city should be protected, strengthened, or transformed.
