Creating better cities together.
Friday September 25, 2026 2:30pm - 3:45pm CEST
The hands-on interactive activity introduces the Public Spaces Assessment Framework (PSAF), a co-created tool from adolescents in Jaipur and Bhubaneswar, India. This gamified activity transforms PSAF into "Audit & Activate!," enabling participants to audit and redesign public spaces through an adolescent lens.
PSAF evaluates spaces open areas, rights-of-way, incidental spots, and facilities (existing or potential) across four parameters: Safety, Vibrancy, Health, and Inclusivity, with sub-parameters for precise scoring. Gamified via cards, dice, and team challenges, it simplifies audits for diverse stakeholders.
Attendees gain practical PSAF skills for data-driven assessments, fostering adolescent-inclusive planning. Pre/post evaluations quantify learning, guiding interventions like safer mobility hubs. Long-term: Replicable audits drive measurable on-ground impacts safer, vibrant spaces enhancing urban equity.
