Creating better cities together.
Friday September 25, 2026 11:45am - 1:00pm CEST
Contemporary cities often function as systems of fragmentation, separating people from land, each other, and the ecological processes that sustain life. This workshop begins by recognizing this alienation, not as fixed, but as something that can be actively reimagined.

Rather than treating the Garden of Eden as a lost ideal, we approach it as a myth that can be collectively rewritten and reactivated through small, collective, and sensory interventions in everyday urban space. The garden becomes a condition where human, social, and biological systems are brought back into relationship.

At its core lies what we call “forgotten knowing”: a deeper, often overlooked awareness of our belonging to the land. Through storytelling, poetic exploration, and sensory engagement, participants reconnect with this knowing: not as an abstract idea, but as something lived and felt.

The workshop unfolds in three intertwined layers: inspiration (identifying moments of integration in the city), embodied experience (shifting from observing to participating), and integration (using storytelling to reframe narratives of alienation).

The process is open and imaginative, inviting participants to explore new ways of relating within the city’s social and ecological systems.
