Hear from the leaders of the global placemaking movement, organizing regional anf national networks to support community-powered public spaces.


PlacemakingX recently convened two Global Placemaking Summits to set the course for the global placemaking movement and support the 30+ regional placemaking networks with emerging cross-cutting global agendas. Leaders from these networks will present as panelists for this session.


Public spaces, and the people that protect and improve them, transcend borders and reflect all stripes of humanity. People that practice placemaking to transform their communities bridge all kinds of barriers - from spatial and sectoral silos, to divides amongst demographics and disciplines.


The goal of this session is to highlight, connect and organize public space and placemaking leadership globally and showcase regional placemaking networks for participants to connect to and support. The global placemaking community stands ready to support you from wherever you are at in your placemaking journey.
