This session is part of an interactive exhibition on
place-led development, initiated by the Place-Led Development Working Group of Placemaking Europe, in collaboration with Placemaking Europe.
The exhibition brings together key insights from inspiring projects, lessons learned, and emerging practices from across Europe. It aims to clarify what place-led development is, how it builds on placemaking, and how it can contribute to long-term spatial, social and economic impact. Delegates are invited to contribute their own cases, questions and perspectives, during the session and during the week.
This session is directly connected to the exhibition and moves from exploration to exchange. Participants will be able to reflect on the presented content, share their own experiences, and collectively deepen the understanding of place-led development in practice.
Together, we will explore questions such as:
- How can placemaking influence long-term development processes?
- What is needed to move from temporary interventions to lasting change?
- How can we strengthen collaboration across disciplines and stakeholders?
