About me
Agata Cieszewska is a landscape ecologist, environmental planner, and associate professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). She was a Kosciuszko Foundation scholar at Arizona State University and a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Texas. Her research focuses on environmental planning, particularly green infrastructure and climate change adaptation in cities.
She has contributed to numerous environmental and planning projects in Warsaw and other Polish cities, as well as nature protection plans for regional and national parks. Experienced in multidisciplinary collaboration and international projects, she has also facilitated workshops on green infrastructure.
Agata led the Co-Adapt “Communities for Climate Action” project, which developed a climate adaptation simulation game, and currently heads the Polish team in the Driving Urban Transitions – Integrate NbS project, supporting the green transformation of medium-sized cities through the ProAdapt UrbanLab initiative.
