From April to September 2026, the Wrocław Institute of Culture and German partner Klub Solitaer e.V. will foster intergenerational and intercultural collaboration at Ruska 46. Three Community Labs will co-create artistic and community activities focused on social connection, local stories, and shared space. The project will culminate in “Sztama,” a neighborhood celebration bringing together residents, artists, migrants, and local organizations through performances, exhibitions, music, and a communal dinner.The finale, planned for the last day of Placemaking Europe Week, will be the key moment of the project – a shared neighborhood celebration bringing the collaboration process to a close. WIK, the international partner, and the Lab participants will prepare a detailed programme including:a performance accompanying the unveiling of the Micro-Change Lab installation; the premiere of a zine and a presentation of photographs created by the Polyphony Lab on the inner walls of the courtyard; the collaborative creation of a patchwork textile by the Interaction Lab, which will serve as a tablecloth for the neighborhood dinner; a communal table and an open dinner featuring dishes representing the different cultures present in the courtyard; a concert by the Ukrainian children’s choir Kapusta Band and the duet: Michał Kuliczenko i Karolina Matuszkiewicz, performing Karaim, Ukrainian, and Lemko songs.
