About me
Andrew is a senior urban planner with the City of Vancouver, where his work focuses on policy development to support the creation of walkable, complete neighbourhoods. In 2006, he founded the Vancouver Public Space Network, a non-profit organization that undertakes placemaking, events and advocacy that centers the importance of public space to the life of the city. Since 2015, Andrew has also been a member of the Steering Committee of Placemaking Canada, a cross-country collective that advances collaborative, equitable and community-centred placemaking. For the past few years, Andrew has served as an adjunct professor at the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where his courses focus on neighbourhood design and public space systems.
