About me
Katarína Čechová is an urban researcher and social designer based in Bratislava, Slovakia. With a background in Urban Studies and an MA in Social Design – Arts as Urban Innovation, her work explores the intersection of culture, community engagement, and public space. She has contributed to projects ranging from participatory youth programs to public space initiatives. In 2025, she was recognized as a Rising Star runner-up in the New European Bauhaus Prizes for the Lunik CoLab project. Her practice focuses on fostering inclusive, community-driven approaches to placemaking and urban transformation.
