About me
Elżbieta Komarzyńska-Świeściak, PhD, Architect, is an architect, researcher and academic at the Faculty of Architecture, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. For more than ten years, she has focused on the adaptation and activation of underused and abandoned urban spaces, particularly areas beneath bridges, flyovers and railway infrastructure. She leads the interdisciplinary Digital Upcycling Lab, developing projects based on adaptive reuse, user research and co-creation. She collaborates with local authorities and community organisations on projects related to urban regeneration and the activation of public spaces.
