About me
Guglielmo Sandri Giachino is an architect, spatial designer and independent researcher. His work focuses on community-driven strategies, urban analysis and critical reading of the space. In the last years he developed a series of workshops based on the exploration of abandoned or underused areas supported by a multidisciplinary approach through sociology, ecology, technology, botany and psychology. Sound, new narratives, and collective practices were part of the Urban Storytelling School, an exchange program between Berlin (DE) and Sofia (BG). Here he co-created the project “Finding Home”, researching the topic of displacement through a sensorial sound installation, creating an intimate archive of migration and memory through interviews of Berlin inhabitants. Other projects were the community garden “Passerella” in Berlin (DE), reshaping a unused plot in a green meeting point and the “Walkscapes” workshops in Turin (IT), a series of walks through abandoned areas of the past industrial heritage.
