About me
Gergely Hory (b. 1989) is an architect and assistant professor at the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where he completed his PhD in architecture. Prior that he continued master studies in architecture at BME and at TU Delft. His researcha nd teaching focus on everyday urban life, informality, and on how public spaces are shaped by the routines, frictions and appropriations of their users. In addition to architecture and research Gergely has an artistic practice as well: he has participated in artist-in-residence programmes in Vienna (MQ21) and Bucharest (Amadeus). He was nominated for the Henkel Art Award and was shorlisted for the Schindler scholarship (MAK Vienna).
