About me
Kirti Zala is an urban strategist and CEO of aProCh, an initiative transforming cities into child-friendly, inclusive spaces. Combining an MSc in Finance with an 8-year corporate background, she bridges grassroots placemaking and municipal governance to scale child-centric urban design. Since 2011, Kirti has expanded aProCh’s impact to over 1.5 million children across 15 Indian cities and three countries through signature programs like Street Smart vehicle-free spaces, Safer School Zone audits, and youth policy work with the UN Foundation. Under her leadership, aProCh has earned top global honors, including the Smart City Expo Innovation Award and the International Right to Play Award. She also serves as a trustee of The Bindi Project and a core member of IPA India.
