About me
Lenka is an interdisciplinary curator, cultural strategist and practitioner from Slovakia working at the intersection of culture, public space and placemaking. Her work explores how cultural practice can cultivate curiosity, strengthen belonging and contribute to long-term transformation of places.She served as Artistic Director of Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture, where she co-developed the award-winning artistic concept Cultivating Curiosity and shaped the programme in collaboration with more than 320 artists and cultural organisations from over 50 countries. Her practice combines strategic thinking, curating and site-responsive approaches to public space, connecting artists, institutions, municipalities and communities. She is currently developing Museum Without Walls: Open-Air Museology Lab, a research and curatorial initiative exploring Japanese open-air museums as models for landscape-based cultural infrastructure and regenerative public space.
