About me
Omar Mirza graduated in Art History from the University of Vienna. He worked as acurator of exhibitions and collections at the Nitra Gallery in Nitra, Slovakia, andcurrently works as the City Curator of Trenčín, European Capital of Culture 2026,where he focuses on transforming public spaces into better places for everyone. Asan exhibition curator, he collaborates with Slovak and international institutions,cultural centers, and festivals on a wide range of contemporary visual arts projects.He is also active as an art critic and holds the position of Vice President of the SlovakSection of AICA (the International Association of Art Critics). He is also involved inthe promotion of contemporary art, having created and hosted two online artprograms and until recently, he hosted talk shows on contemporary art and culture forthe Slovak National Radio.
