Rana Habibi (b. 1984) is Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Urban Design at the Faculty of Built Environment, Breda University of Applied Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Architecture (2015) and a Master of Urbanism and Strategic Planning (2011) from KU Leuven, and a postgraduate degree in European Urbanism from Università Iuav di Venezia (2010). Her research sits at the intersection of inclusive urbanism, climate change, and the urban history of the Global South. She is a contributor to several EU-funded projects, including InclusiveCity (2023–2026) and KreativEU (2025–2029), and currently serves as guest editor of a special issue on "Inclusive City" in the Cities Journal. She is the author of Modern Middle-Class Housing in Tehran (Brill, 2021) and has published over twenty peer-reviewed articles and book chapters with Routledge, Springer, and Elsevier. Rana is a registered urban designer in Belgium with fifteen years of professional practice across Belgium, Italy, and Vietnam.
