About me
Steve is President of the Placemaking Fund, the sponsor organization of Placemaking X. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Project for Public Spaces (PPS) with Fred Kent and the late Kathy Madden. He continues to be an advocate for public spaces, placemaking, and public markets. He founded the Place Solutions Group in 2018, and his work takes him around the world as a consultant, facilitator, educator, researcher, and speaker. He is currently working on the PlacemakingX Place Led Development Team and on market revitalization projects in Vietnam and Costa Rica. He is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute's graduate program in Urban Management and Placemaking.
