About me
An architect and urban planner specialising in participatory design, and a placemaking practitioner. A lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture, Silesian University of Technology. She has carried out research projects in the fields of inclusive design, regeneration and public health. A cultural organiser, urban activist, researcher into tools for engaging local communities, and facilitator. She founded the consultancy firm Prooper and co-runs the design firm Pronobis Studio.
She designs public spaces and public facilities, and runs workshops and public consultations on spatial solutions, regeneration initiatives, the energy transition and adaptation to climate change. She has experience in implementing social projects within numerous non-governmental organisations. She derives great satisfaction from working in a multidisciplinary team. In her work, she utilises the Design Thinking method, testing various tools and techniques to help city residents engage in the design of spatial solutions. She researches methods of involving city residents and users of public spaces in architectural and urban design. She collaborates with city councils as an expert on regeneration, participation and socially engaged spatial planning. She seeks design solutions centred on people and their needs, whilst respecting the existing and natural environment.
