Tímea Szőke is an urban practitioner, researcher and facilitator, currently a PhD candidate at the UIC Barcelona. Her work focuses on regenerative placemaking, examining how participatory processes, culture, and public space can help rebuild social ties in cities. She is the secretary of the Urban Resilience Lab Barcelona, working on grassroots initiatives for climate action. Formerly Programme Director at the Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre in Budapest, she led award-winning projects such as Budapest100, exploring how communities and spaces shape belonging, creativity, and care.
