The Way of Water: Listening, Walking, Sensing

How is water perceived by our bodies? What stories, emotions, and relationships emerge from the river?
This session invites participants to explore how waterbodies, ecosystems, and communities are deeply interwoven. Emerging from the encounter of people with multicultural and interdisciplinary backgrounds, and driven by a shared enthusiasm for collective learning and exploration, this experience proposes a journey along a waterway in Wrocław.
Together, we will walk, listen, sense, draw, write, and share reflections through embodied listening practices, experiencing the river as a living presence. As we move along the water, we will pay attention to sounds, smells, textures and the everyday life of the city woven through its riverscapes.
Through walking and collective exchange, public space becomes a site of encounter and dialogue, activating both urban space and social connection. Stories from river communities will invite reflection on what water means across different places and lived experiences, opening perspectives on care, belonging, and coexistence.
This is a participatory and sensorial experience to feel the role of waterways in urban contexts, as well as in our daily lives. No prior knowledge or skills are needed - just curiosity and a willingness to slow down, listen, and engage.
